Holiday Volunteering & Ways to Give

Be A Bell Ringer

On average, just 60 minutes of red kettle bell ringing yield enough in donations to feed 13 people. Sign up now to ring this Christmas – and help fight to put food on the table for those most in need. Ring as an individual, a family, a company, a school, a team or a church. We have a variety of convenient locations and times. This is an ideal volunteer opportunity for teens to meet their community service hours. Bell ringers are needed between November 15, 2019 and December 24, 2019 (Monday through Saturday).

Host A Mini Kettle At Your Business

Host a mini kettle (small countertop kettle) near your cash register or reception area.

Food & Toy Drives

You may sponsor a toy drive or a food drive with your coworkers during the holiday season. The proceeds from these drives will be distributed to struggling families and children to brighten their Christmas.

Host An Angel Tree or Buy A Gift From An Angel Tree

Host an Angel Tree for customers, clients or employees to purchase gifts for specific individuals in need in your area. The program is simple: The Salvation Army provides Angel Tree tags to be hung on your Christmas tree. Donors can choose a tag that lists various ages and gift wishes and purchase the requested gifts, drop them at a pre-determined collection site and The Salvation Army will deliver the gifts for the children and young teens to open on Christmas morning.
