Seasonal Programs & Events
Lucia Fest – This Swedish tradition honors the sacrifice of a young Christian martyr, St. Lucia. She would secretly bring food to the persecuted Christians in Rome, who were hiding in the catacombs under the city. Lucia wore candles on her head, so her hands were free to carry food and supplies. St. Lucia is celebrated each December by the children of the Church through song and scripture reading.
Music by the River – On the warm summer nights, free concerts take place along the River Walk. Various Christian groups and bands perform on Sunday nights, providing the community with a blessed time of music and fellowship.
Project Bundle-Them-Up – Winter clothing is distributed to children who are in need. Parents register their children on the designated day, then pick out winter wear for them. Project Bundle-Them-Up is made possible because of the generous donations received from the community.
Vacation Bible School – This week-long event uses songs, practical lessons, crafts, and games to reach kids about God’s Word.
