Lives are being transformed in Saratoga!

Just in the past few months, we have had the distinct privilege to help homeless individuals move into permanent housing; teach children basic life skills, such as tying shoes, reading, and important social skills; provided fellowship opportunities for adults; assisted veterans; helped to alleviate bullying in our schools; fed hungry bellies; provided holiday assistance to many families; provided children and vulnerable adults an opportunity to experience overnight camping events; given out thousands of pieces of clothing; provided laundering and shower services for the homeless to give them a fresh start to their day; provided fun and engaging activities for at-risk teens; and helped homeless families through our Pathway of Hope program. We seek to enable growth and self-sufficiency for those who need our assistance. It gives us great joy to express our appreciation to your for your support.

Fresh Start Breakfast

Our year-round Fresh Start Breakfast Program assists homeless and at-risk individuals, 5 days per week by providing access to showers, laundry facilities, clothing room, nutritious breakfast, and case management. Many individuals are employed, so this program helps them to get ready to face their day. Last month we help two separate homeless individuals move into their very own apartment! They had been homeless for a total of 10 years.

Our After-School Program provides fun, engaging, education, and supportive programming, 4 days per week, for students K-12. These programs include homework help, life skills training, music education, recreation, and mentoring. Some of our children are homeless, living in a cramped motel room with their family. This program gives the parents the opportunity to work extra hours, which results in accessing permanent housing. Last year we served 5 homeless families - all of which are currently in permanent housing!

Shop With a Senior

Our Shop-With-A-Senior program provides much-needed transportation to the grocery store for seniors who cannot access the grocery store, due to lack of transportation. Volunteers assist the senior is reading labels, build relationships through conversation, and help carry their bags. Workshops on delicious, healthy foods help seniors to try new foods, and gift cards enable them to purchase the ingredients.
